The online store on the website www.glano.be, VAT number BE0814.785.548, based in Merelbeke-Melle, processes personal data provided by the Customer in order to comply with the Terms and Conditions and to further confirm them, to process electronic orders and shipments, and for the necessary communication during the legally required period.

General provisions

  1. The controller of personal data, in accordance with the GDPR (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulation"), is Glano BV, VAT number BE0814.785.548, based in Merelbeke-Melle (hereinafter referred to as the "Controller");

  3. Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Source of personal data

  1. The Controller processes personal data obtained with the consent of the Customer and collected through the contract for the purchase and execution of electronic orders placed in the online store;

  2. The Controller processes only the identification and contact details of the Customer necessary for the performance of the purchase contract;

  3. The Controller processes personal data for shipping and accounting purposes and for the necessary communication between the contracting parties for the period required by law. Personal data will not be disclosed and will not be transferred to other countries.

Purpose of data processing

The Controller processes personal data of the Customer for the following purposes:

  1. Registration on the website www.glano.be in accordance with Chapter 4, Section 2 of the GDPR;

  2. For the execution of the electronic order placed by the Customer (name, address, email, phone number);

  3. To comply with laws and regulations arising from the contractual relationship between the Customer and the Controller;

  4. Personal data is necessary for the performance of the purchase contract. The contract cannot be concluded without personal data.

Retention period of personal data

  1. The Controller stores personal data for the period necessary to fulfil the rights and obligations arising from the contractual relationship between the Controller and the Customer and for a period of 3 years after the end of the contractual relationship;

  2. The Controller must delete all personal data after the expiration of the period necessary for storing personal data.

Recipients and processors of personal data

Third parties processing the Customer's personal data are subcontractors of the Controller. The services of these subcontractors are essential for the successful execution of the purchase contract and the processing of electronic orders between the Controller and the Customer.

Subcontractors of the Controller are:

  • Webnode AG (online store system);

  • Shipping company;

  • Google Analytics (website analytics);

Customer rights

In accordance with the Regulation, the Customer has the right to:

  1. Access personal data;

  2. Rectify personal data;

  3. Erase personal data;

  4. Object to the processing of personal data;

  5. Data portability;

  6. Withdraw consent to the processing of personal data in writing or via email: info@glano.be;

  7. Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in case of a suspected breach of the Regulation.

Security of personal data

  1. The Controller declares that it has taken all technical and organisational precautions necessary to protect personal data;

  2. The Controller has implemented technical measures to secure data storage, in particular by protecting computer access with a password, using antivirus software, and performing regular maintenance of computers.

Final provisions

  1. By placing an electronic order on the Glano website, the Customer confirms that they have been informed of all conditions regarding the protection of personal data and fully accept them;

  2. The Customer accepts these rules by ticking the checkbox in the order form;

  3. The Controller may update these rules at any time. The new, updated version must be published on the website.

These rules come into effect on 17/01/2025.
